Reasons to love fall

September 14th, 2020

For some people, fall is simply the best season. For others, and we’re talking to the sun-worshipping, summer-lovers here, they’re going to take a bit more convincing. So that’s what we’re here to do. As the seasons change and kids go back to school, the weather starts to turn and it’s time to get cosy.

1) Nature

There’s no denying that nature is really doing its colorful best right now. If you go for a walk, you’ll notice all the leaves are changing color and putting on a great show. If there were an Instagram filter for nature, fall is it! It makes everything look beautiful and vibrant. There’s also an amazing smell in the air - get out there and enjoy it.

2) Cosy clothes

Which brings us to our next item... comfy clothes! Temperatures are dropping, so it’s time to bring out your season-appropriate attire. We’re talking big cosy sweaters and woollen socks. If you’re venturing outside, a warm hat and scarf are the order of the day.

3) Food

Just as clothes get warmer, food and drinks gets more soul-nurturing. Root vegetables are in season, meaning lots of stews, soups, and roasted dinners. Also, who can resist a pumpkin spice latte? If you have a sweet tooth, good news, apple and pecan pies are back on the menu. Enjoy! It’s also getting closer and closer to Thanksgiving, but we’re not there just yet...

4) Quiet time

Which brings us to our final item about why we love fall. It’s a great excuse to slow down a bit after a hectic summer. The kids are back at school, the evenings are getting darker, and temperatures are cooling. What better reason to curl up by the fire with a nice book? It’s a great opportunity to take a few quiet moments before holiday season kicks in.
