Three Things to inspire Chemo Patients to feel good this Fall

October 3rd, 2017

Going through chemo at any time is tough, but as it’s Fall we thought we’d give you a few ideas to bring some ‘feel good factor’ to your day.

1. Invest in a LimbO waterproof protector. It’s a small investment but you can enjoy a huge reward in return; a totally stress-free bath and all the bubbles you deserve! This season demands a bubble bath, so do as you must and lie back, relax and don’t worry about your PICC line getting wet, as our comfortable neoprene seal will do its thing and keep your PICC line dry.

2. Find a big pile of leaves and get kicking! We’re pretty sure it will make you smile and sometimes a smile is all you need to get through the day.

3. Buy some super soft socks. Not only are they a must for Fall, they are also essential for many cancer patients suffering from hand-foot syndrome - a side effect of some cancer treatments. Hand-foot syndrome (palmar-plantar erythrodysesthesia) causes pain, swelling and redness on the palms of the hands or soles of the feet, so soft socks can only be a bonus. In some cases, skin flakes and cracks, making hands and/or feet extremely painful and dressings may then be required. A foot LimbO may be a practical purchase in these situations, as it will keep your dressings dry as you bathe.

Staying positive as you tackle cancer is a challenge, but try to do at least one thing to make yourself feel good every day this fall and throughout your treatment; and never under estimate the power of a positive mind.
